Mission. The mission of the BNN News is to concentrate on the news of Boston itself. Through its coverage and by serving as a platform for a variety of guests, the show is both a forum and a crossroads for the full range of the city’s communities.

As one of the programs appearing on the Boston Neighborhood Network (BNN), the news shares in BNN’s mission:

  • Giving a more direct voice to and fostering understanding among various neighborhoods, groups and points of view.
  • Addressing the need of target populations.
  • Increasing the access of residents to education, cultural, health and human services resources of the city.
  • Strengthening the ability of all institutions to serve Boston’s residents.

Interns and contributors. BNN News invites interns and volunteers who are studying journalism (or related field) to work on the show. The show also welcomes freelance reporters developing a career in TV news, as well as community people with a strong interest in local news who would like to contribute to the show as correspondents.

Scheduling Note: Because of program’s reliance on student help, programming is suspended before the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. For times of repeat showings of BNN News and up-to-date schedule changes, please consult the website for BNN-TV.
